Dr Amritash Rai
Consultant Child &Adolescent Psychiatrist - Clinical Director & Co-founder, Childrenplus
Dr Amritash Rai one of the founders and the Clinical Director of Childrenplus. Amritash is an experienced Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist who has worked in Psychiatry across Public and Private Settings across three countries (Australia, UK and India). Amritash completed MBBS from UCMS Delhi (1997) and an MD in Psychiatry from MAMC
(2001). He went on to complete his higher training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry CCT – 2008) in Nottingham UK. He also holds the MRCPsych – UK (2005), FRANZCP – Australia (2016), DipMEdSci with Distinction – Nottingham, UK (2005). Amritash has worked in Psychiatry for 25 years and has been a consultant child & adolescent psychiatrist since 2008. His experience as a Psychiatrist extends through England and Australia in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including rural and remote settings.
He has been approved trainer with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK as well as Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
He has set up and led a number of services including Eating Disorders, Autism Assessment and led transition to electronic record keeping in a previous role. All of his roles have involved working in multidisciplinary teams with psychologists providing assessment and psychological therapy to children and adolescents. Amritash firmly believes that a thorough assessment is the first step to understanding and resolution of problems.

Vishal is also the founding trustee of Working People Production, a registered charitable trust, working in the field of promotion of theatre and films, as we all are well aware that theatre can aid, and offer a wealth of benefits such as confidence building, physical communication, improved memory, and teamwork. To this end, they have worked extensively with children and have staged plays at Sri Ram Centre, Mandi House, Delhi, and have produced some internationally award-winning short films.

Shailly Sharma
